George J. Mehok photograph collection [graphic]. [1930s-1987]

The Mehok collection includes images of George Mehok ranging from childhood to as a retired priest, his brothers William and Charles, and of the Mehok family who lived at Dresden, N.D. There are images from Fargo, Hope, and Wahpeton, N.D., where he served as a priest, including a series showing the aftermath of a 1946 blizzard at Hope. There are several images from his world travels, two images of Sacred Heart Academy in Fargo, and of Bishop William Mulloy. The albums are rich in snapshots documenting his life, especially beginning when he attended Nazareth Hall in St. Paul, Minn. The albums contain both social scenes and church related images. Two albums document his 25th and 50th anniversary celebrations in the priesthood at Wahpeton.
